Sinter HIP Furnace
Sinter-HIP provides a method of enhancing the qualities of materials in a single cycle by using a relatively low isostatic pressure as an alternative to separate high pressure HIP processing. In the case of tungsten carbide the porosity is eliminated and the hardness and transverse rupture strength is improved providing consistently high quality products. Because the process is completed in a single cycle at a relatively low pressure, time at temperature, which could cause unwanted grain growth, is minimized. Higher throughput and reduced capital costs are other major benefits of the sinter-HIP.
